Grill Use

It's actually quite simple - raise and lower the grill grates with a slight tilt to bring them closer or further away from the heat source below. The closer the grate is to the heat source, the higher the heat. Side rods are even marked for easy reference. Check out the Getting Started page for some basic how-to videos.

Any charcoal and/or firewood (our cook wood is HIGHLY recommended). Our favorite is a combination of both for s nice fire and flavor combo. We always recommend high-quality for a clean burn and minimal smoke emission.

With the Grill Master Package, absolutely! Use the lid to entrap those precious whiffs of smokey flavor, and adjust the vent to release smoke as needed.

Not completely. The base is about 3 inches wider than the cooking surfaces. This is to ensure evenly distributed heat reaches the grill grates.

There is a layer of ceramic insulation that can withstand up to 1250° F located between the inner and outer shell ensuring the heat can only go straight up and not down to your table.

The charcoal grate was designed with raised fins to ensure the necessary airflow can travel underneath the charcoal. The grill base is also extremely shallow, creating enough airflow to keep the charcoal hot from above.

Have you ever ordered fajitas at a restaurant and the waiter brought out the plate and said "this dish is hot, please be careful"?... That's what we like to compare it to. You won't burn yourself, but it's better you steer clear.

Wooden or metal tables are best. If you don't have either, we recommend starting on a non-sensitive surface until you have a good feel for the minimal grill-to-table heat transfer. We never recommend placing your grill directly on a plastic table, a fiberglass or a composite surface.

NO! This is a charcoal grill that should ONLY be used outside.
