The Story

Inspiration Behind the Grill

"Bola" (short for Bolas or
Boleadoras) was a type of throwing weapon most famously used by the Gauchos in the Pampas region of South America in the early 1800s. The Gauchos were skilled horseman, reputed to be brave, nomadic, and unruly. Their diets consisted of mainly beef which they cooked over an open fire. "Gaucho grills" or "Santa Maria Grills" are now commercialized and are designed to allow the user to manually adjust cooking temperate by raising and lowering the grill grate. It's a unique grilling style that can get truly addicting!
